Marty has over 25 years of experience as a senior geotechnical engineer. His responsibilities have included preparation of written engineering reports which provide recommendations relative to the geotechnical or environmental aspects of new construction or development. Items typically addressed in the report would be grading requirements which may include compaction and pavement design regarding asphalt or concrete.

Duties also consisted of assuring compliance to design and specifications during construction of engineered fill, ensure proper installation of foundation types (shallow or deep) and to review laboratory test results performed on construction materials such as asphalt, concrete, and soil.
He has also conducted pavement evaluation studies.

Marty graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering

Environmental

Marty also has over twenty years of experience in the practice of environmental engineering. He has managed projects which include Phase I and Phase II environmental site assessments; environmental impact studies; groundwater investigations; groundwater and soil remediation; UST closure and site assessments; NPDES permitting; and asbestos and lead-based paint surveys.

Marty is knowledgeable in state and federal regulations pertaining to surface water, groundwater, wetlands, underground storage tanks, stormwater permitting, and hazardous waste management.
